Influencer Quiladamente dies at 27: report
Influencer Carol Acostaknown on the Internet as Quiladamente, died at the age of 27.
Acosta’s sister Katian confirmed the influencer’s death via Instagram Story Daily Mail. “I love you sister and I always will,” Kathian wrote alongside a photo of her sister – whose Killadamente account has more than 6 million Instagram followers – smiling for the camera. “I thank God for giving me a sister like you, with a big heart. Rest in peace, my sister.”
While unconfirmed reports suggest that Acosta choked on food while having dinner with his family, the cause of Acosta’s death has not been confirmed.
Acosta died on Friday, January 3, Fr GoFundMe page set up by her family to cover her funeral costs, which reads: “At her young age (Carol) helped thousands of people through her work, but this time we come together and ask for your help in saying goodbye to she deserves it.”

The statement continued: “Any contribution, no matter how small, will help cover funeral costs and support her family and children as they deal with this unimaginable loss.” The GoFundMe was set up by Acosta’s sister, Elizabeth, and has so far raised nearly all of the $26,000 raised.
Acosta, who was born in the Dominican Republic, is survived by two children, Rayna and Legend. Katian shared a link to her sister’s GoFundMe via Instagram story on Sunday, January 6, along with another heartfelt message.
“I know you will always be with me, my sister, my partner and my best friend, sister always,” she wrote. “I love you and I will always love you. If you would like to support our family with funeral expenses, please click here.’
Acosta was a fashion influencer known for her body positivity content, fashion and beauty tips, and activism around domestic violence and bullying. Her signature hashtag “#meamoynomeimporta,” which translates to “I love myself and I don’t care,” was even featured on a billboard in New York’s Times Square in November 2020. “Thank you, God! Several social media personalities have confirmed their own deaths with posthumous statements and recorded messages.
