Anzorov was shot dead by the police a few minutes after killing the 47-year-old man.

A few days ago, he was outraged by allegations that Pati ordered Muslims to leave a class of 13-year-olds before displaying pictures of the Prophet Muhammad.

In fact, Paty taught a lesson on freedom of speech and before showing one of the controversial images first published by Charlie Hebdo magazine, advised students to avert their eyes if they were afraid of being offended.

In the absence of a murderer, this trial was related to people who provided moral or material support to him.

In seven weeks, the court heard the 13-year-old schoolgirl’s lies spiraled out of control thanks to social media.

Among those convicted on Friday was the schoolboy’s father, Brahim Chnina.

Chnina launched an online campaign against the teacher and enlisted the help of now-convicted radical Islamic activist Abdelhakim Sefrioui.

Two of the killer’s friends, who were with him when he bought the gun, and four people with whom he shared messages on the radical chat line were also found guilty.

The defense argued that none of the eight had any idea of Anzorov’s intentions, and that their words and actions were only criminal when he acted.

But the judge ruled that lack of foreknowledge was no defence, as what they had done had a provocative effect.
