It’s time to say goodbye to everyone’s favorite gang of quirky vampire roommates. After six seasons, What we do in the shadows ends. Taika Waititi created and co-starred with Jemaine Clement in the 2014 cult film from which the FX series draws its inspiration.

The series stars Kaivan Novak as Nandor, Matt Berry as Laszlo Cravensworth, Natasia Demetriou as Nadia, Harvey Guillen as Guillermo de la Cruz and Mark Proksch as energy vampire Colin Robinson. Season 6 found this dysfunctional team of vampires once again on a mission to conquer the world.

Big surprise: They haven’t followed this up yet.

That’s OK though. Everyone experienced a sense of growth this season. Guillermo got a job on Wall Street (like Nandor and Nadia); Laszlo created his version of Frankenstein’s monster, and Colin helped shape the monster into a somewhat coherent creature.

Now that this is all behind us, I wonder how it will all end. According to a recent an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Waititi believes it has gone on too long. Agree or disagree; one thing’s for sure: there will never be another gang of vampires on TV as weird, cool, and horny as these guys were.

How to stream the finale of What We Do in the Shadows

The finale of What We Do in the Shadows is scheduled to air on FX on Monday, December 16 at 10:00 PM ET. The episode should land on Hulu the next day. If you want to watch the final broadcast live without cable, a live TV service like YouTube TV or Sling TV provides access to FX’s linear network.
