Stars in Hollywood, sports, comedy, and more are finding huge financial success by continuing to share their stories behind the microphone.

With more and more pop culture consumers around the world streaming podcasts as voraciously as they do music, TV and movies, companies like Spotify, SiriusXM and Amazon are willing to pay big bucks to find top talent.

Only in August 2024. host of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast. Alex Cooper signed a massive deal with SiriusXM. Also, NFL players Jason Kells and Travis Kelce signed a 9-figure deal to continue their New Heights podcast.

“We love this show and the fan base that has grown with us over the past two seasons,” the brothers said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter before admitting the moniker to his listeners. “We’re so excited to kick off Season 3 — see you soon, 92%ers!”

Founder of Barstool Sports Dave Portnoy shared the details Grace O’Malleyex-salary in January 2025 after she left the media company.

Portnoy stated this in a TikTok video O’Malley’s base salary was $175,000 and she received 70 percent “of everything we were able to sell” through her personal social media accounts.

In August 2024, news broke that the “Call Her Daddy” podcast host had signed a deal with SiriusXM, giving the platform exclusive advertising and distribution rights, as well as other content and events. The multi-year deal is worth $125 million over three years, This is reported by CNN. That’s more than double her previous deal with Spotify.

SiriusXM also acquired exclusive global ad sales rights for all of Cooper’s Unwell Network, which includes podcasts such as “Hot Mess with Alix Earle,” “Pretty Lonesome with Madeline Argy,” “Boyfriend Materials with Harry Jowsey” and “In Your Dreams with Owen”. Tille”.

With less than two weeks to go until the official start of the 2024 NFL regular season, the Kelce brothers signed a nine-figure deal with Wondery Podcast Studio for the rights to them the popular New Heights podcast.says the report published The Hollywood Reporter.

The deal is said to include global distribution rights to the popular podcast, ad sales representation, rights to past episodes and the right to produce an international adaptation of the podcast.

“We couldn’t be more excited to team up with Wondery for the next phase of New Heights,” Travis and Jason said in a release statement. “Wondery understands the shared vision and brings a wealth of experience and resources to take us to ‘New Heights!’ Through this partnership, we are going to create some groundbreaking moments together.”

In July 2024, Amazon’s podcast company Wondery secured an exclusive distribution and ad sales deal for “Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard.” The agreement stipulated that Wondery and “Armchair Expert” will co-develop and produce two new fan podcasts and one live broadcast per year.

The deal also includes a first-look option for any additional new podcasts created by actor Shepard. Financial terms were not announced, but Wall Street Journal said the value of the deal is about $80 million.

In February 2024, The Joe Rogan Experience podcast host and Spotify struck a new deal worth up to $250 million, according to Wall Street Journal. The deal will allow the show to air on other platforms after its exclusive 4-year run on Spotify.

Under the licensing agreement, Spotify will also sell advertising and distribute “The Joe Rogan Experience” on multiple podcast platforms, including in video format on YouTube.

In January 2024, the cast left Amazon to bring their “SmartLess” podcast to SiriusXM on the three-year contract is reportedly worth $100 million.

“At SiriusXM, we pride ourselves on being the home to the stars, and with Jason, Sean and Will joining us, that statement has never been truer,” said the SiriusXM president. Scott Greenstein said in a statement. “We’ve doubled down on our commitment to podcasting over the past few years, and with the addition of SmartLess, we’re solidifying our leadership position in podcasting.”
