HERO’s All-In-One, AI performance app takes on Google calendar and more
People often use multiple notes applications, graphics management and DOS. But why not combine All in one app? This is the ethos behind Herothe performance app of everything in one with AI assistant (of course!).
The iOS application was developed by former Meta employees Brad Kovalk and Seung W. Lee. They both met while working on Facebook Stories, where Kowalk was a product manager and Lee was an engineer. Kowalk also works on new AI experiences in the company by 2022.
“When we started working on a new project, after working at Meta, we didn’t want to work on something that felt as if we were helping people waste time. In fact, we wanted to create something that helps people save time, “said Kovvalk.
So far, the company has raised $ 4 million in financing of seeds from Instacart founder Max Mulian, Dropbox founder Arash Ferdouzi, an employee of Adobe’s Cheif strategy of Messenger IME Archibong, the music group The Chains and Risk Abstract.
Mulian, who met with Hero co -founders through another company he invested in, said he was impressed by the start -up vision.
“Hero had a clear vision of how he wanted to transform the way people think of AI apps. I think many user applications will have voice interfaces and assistants like Hero, who are trying to become a daily application so you don’t need multiple applications, “he told TechCrunch during a call.

Mulian said that the character would be useful for families and groups of friends, as they would not need to use so many applications to coordinate with each other.
The application itself has one screen where you can see the graphics of your current day, time, DOS list, a grocery list and your notes. At the top of the screen you have a daily short story on Instagram containing your schedule, a summary of news and a daily quote.
You can add people like friends, family or teammates to the calendar to see their schedule or even share tasks and notes with them. If they are in the app, they can also comment on something, such as shared events or to DOS. (You can currently share a task in a convenient format for people who are not in the application.)
You can also create an event, a reminder, a note, or add a grocery item through the built -in AI assistant. The assistant can respond to your requests using Perplexity AI and you can keep the web search as a note.
Plus, the assistant helps you build lists or notes. For example, you can title a note saying “Movies like Challengers”, tap the Propse button and generate a new list.

Kowalk believes that due to the increase in the number of AI tools available to humans, they will ultimately not use different applications such as multiple applications, reminders, notes and time.
“There will be two categories of applications in the near future. A blank chat app for shale like Chatgpt or Google Gemini and what your day shows. This app will bring your entire day to one place and will work with your friends and family with a reconnaissance layer on top. We want to be this app, “said Kwalk.
He pointed out that when you use multiple applications, you are likely, while switching apps, you forget what you wanted to do and open Tiktok or YouTube. He also noted that couples – because of the features of social coordination – and people who have just graduated from college and are looking for new performance, are attracted to this app over things like Google Calendar.
The app is free and the company plans to keep it this way.
Consumers can currently touch the Instacart icon in the grocery list to search for all the elements and place an order. The company is reducing these transactions.
Koalk said this is the revenue area that the company wants to focus on.
Currently, Hero is working to improve voice interaction with an assistant, builds habits and follow -up goals and events to add events, to DOS and an image or screenshot notes.
