The 11th and now 12th-hour drama surrounding TikTok has angered Republican senators, who met yesterday at the Jefferson Hotel in DC for Sunday brunch and a subsequent dinner hours later.

Sources in attendance told Fox Business that the senators expressed solidarity, saying the national security threat posed by the Chinese social media app is “about as serious as it gets.” There is concern that President Donald Trump “doesn’t understands the legislation and may not be prepared for the strong insistence he will hear from Republicans” that the “repeal or ban” law must be upheld.

Fox Business has learned that GOP senators including Tom Cotton (R-NE), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Tom Tillis (R-NC) and Rick Scott (R-FL) attended billionaire Frank McCourt’s at the events organized by: Jr. and venture capitalist Kevin O’Leary. McCourt and O’Leary lead the team that presented is a $20 billion offer to TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance, to acquire the platform’s US operations, reportedly the only one approved by the Justice Department.

Rep. John Mullenaar (R-MI), who was appointed to fill the vacancy left by Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI) on the Chinese Communist Party’s House Select Committee, also attended the event, the sources said.

While the contents of the secret briefing have not been released, Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., told reporters as he left the March hearing, “My reaction to this briefing is that TikTok is a gun to the American people’s head.” “The Chinese Communists are weaponizing the information they are constantly, secretly collecting from 170 million Americans and potentially targeting that information using algorithms at the core of American democracy.”

Senator Cotton warns Apple, Microsoft and Google could face ‘devastating bankruptcy’ if they defy Tiktok ban

Sources close to the situation said Senator Graham and Senator Cotton were particularly outspoken during Sunday’s meetings, arguing that US app hosts, including the service’s promoters Apple, Google, Microsoft and Amazon, could subject to “destructive liability” law.

The law states that web hosting providers must end their relationship with the platform or face a daily fine of $5,000 for each user still able to access the service, a fine that could quickly add up to billions of dollars.

“TIKTOCK WILL RETURN”. TRUMP RULES THE FUTURE OF THE SOCIAL MEDIA APP

Senator Cotton later accepted X to thank them both and a warning to app store sites. “We commend Amazon, Apple, and Microsoft for following the law and suspending operations with ByteDance and TikTok, and we encourage other companies to do the same after all, the law poses a risk of devastating bankruptcy to any company that violates it.” adding separately“Any company that hosts, distributes, maintains, or otherwise facilitates the communist-controlled TikTok could face hundreds of billions of dollars in punitive damages under the law, not just the DOJ, but also securities law, shareholder lawsuits, and state and

While TikTok has restored access to the platform, none of the hosting providers have made the app available for download.

Cotton, a Harvard-trained lawyer, also noted that President Trump had not been sworn into office before the Jan. 19 deadline and therefore was unable to “extend” before the ban took effect.

In order for TikTok to come back online in the future, ByteDance would have to agree to a sale that would satisfy the law’s qualified divestment requirements.” between China and Communist China, only then will Americans be protected from the serious threat to their privacy and security posed by the Communist-controlled TikTok.”

KEVIN O’LEARY WARNS THAT THE FATE OF “TIKTOOK” COULD BE DECIDED BY A “SECRET GOLDEN DIVISION” GIVING BEIJING “VETO” POWER.

Graham: “Golden Share Chinese companies should be banned/delisted from US stock exchanges.

After the McCourt-O’Leary meetings, Senator Graham also presented X with a new plan to delist the so-called “Golden Share Structure.” Golden Share is a term for companies in which the Chinese Communist Party and its leader, Xi Jinpin calls the shots and can summarily control management decisions.

Graham posted last night. “It is clear that what is known as the ‘Chinese golden share structure’ is standing in the way of TikTok’s rescue.

If the company has a “golden share structure”, it means that one of the shareholders is the leader of the Chinese Communist Party, Xi Jinping. He owns you and makes all the decisions.

I will soon be introducing legislation with my Senate colleagues that would prevent any company holding a “Chinese gold stock” from listing on any American stock exchange, and further delisting any existing company that owns a gold stock from any American stock exchange.”

One attendee told Fox Business that the agreement among Republicans to follow the law and the Supreme Court’s ruling that upheld it was “pretty much unanimous,” adding that “these social media platform owners have too much power. (These platforms) are misleading.” results and needlessly polarize us.
