Google offers free repairs and (in some countries) removal payments Pixel 7a Battery problems. 9to5Google spotted Google Support page Details of an extended repair program in 40 countries. If your Pixel 7A visible swelling or its battery is exhausted faster than usual, you may get a replacement of the battery in the house.
The company says “it is definitely that some Pixel 7A phones may experience unexpected swelling of the battery.” Telltale signs include a phone that looks thicker than a usual, convex rear cover, visible gaps or openings at its edges, or faster than expected battery drain.
Google is confronted with social media complaints about Pixel 7A before taking action. For example, in December U/ESZENCE08 published In the Pixel Subreddit that after not receiving assistance from Google support for the problem of battery swelling, they only received a solution from the company after posting it to Reddit for it. Their conclusion: “Make a post; Google is more useful for Reddit than their chat support.”
Even if your device exhibits one or more symptoms, it should still go through a check before it moves forward. You can start by visiting Google’s eligibility pageWhich will translate you through the steps to determine the admissibility of your particular device. Then a repair will inspect it before it continues.
This last step is necessary because unrelated damage, including damage to the fluid, exposure to sharp objects or excessive force, will cancel repair. When we get to the country of the country, things get more complicated. You have two options in the US and India: Mail on your device to Google or bring it to an authorized walking center. The repairs are also available in Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan and Singapore. (These countries do not offer mail adjustments.)
The program also extends to those who have purchased their device in Australia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Switzerland and the EEA. If your country is not indicated, you get nothing.
However, for mail -free countries (all except the US and India), Google offers alternative “options for aid”, ie. repayments or storage loan. If your Pixel 7A is without warranty, you can request $ 200, converted to your local currency or $ 300 (also converted locally) into a Google discount code to buy another Pixel phone on the Google Store. If it is still on bail, you can get a healthier payment of $ 456, converted into the local currency.
