Garcel Bave talks about Kyle Richards’ controversial ‘lesbian’ comment

This comes after Richards was seen spending time with the country singer Morgan Wadeadding fuel to speculation about their relationship.

Garcelle Bovet’s comment during a recent explosive episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills certainly added fuel to the fire.

The moment may have sparked heated conversation, but Beauvais insists her words were meant to inspire, not offend.

Beauvais made her position clear when asked if she regretted encouraging Richards to accept herself. To put it bluntly, Beauvais explained:

“No, I didn’t say that to be malicious. It was more about, “We’re powerful women, we can be anything.”

TMZ reports that Beauvais also addressed Richards’ response, pointing out the inconsistency of her response. She called it “shady” that Richards initially laughed it off, but then became critical, revealing the insult.

ICYMI, the comments were made during an open lunch at Chuck E. Cheese with “RHOBH” cast members Kyle Richards, Sutton Strake and Erica Jane.

An episode titled “What Kind of Chuck?” saw Beauvais turn down the bold proposal, which stunned her colleagues. Explosion highlighted the moment when Beauvais encouraged Richards to fully accept her truth by bluntly stating:

“Do whatever you want. Be what you want. If you want to be a lesbian, be a lesbian.”

The unexpected remark caused loud gasps and wide eyes around the table, but the ladies quickly laughed.

Although they laughed off the remark at the table, Richards did not hold back later ” BravoAfter the show.” The 56-year-old boldly declared: “Now you’re an a-hole. And don’t try to act like, ‘Oh, Daisy, you know exactly what you’re doing.’

She added that while she was not offended by the comment – given her experience with tabloid speculation – she questioned Bovet’s motives, asking: “What do you mean?” Bove also clarified her intentions, explaining, “I didn’t push her to come out. Accept it. Be real.”

She noted that Richards often seems concerned with public perception and stressed the importance of self-awareness. “At this age, we’re allowed to be who we are,” Bovet concluded.

Richards didn’t let the drama from the last episode slow her down. Just days after Bove’s “lesbian” remark stirred the pot, Richards was spotted hanging out with rumored girlfriend Morgan Wade.

Page Six reported that the duo was spotted grabbing coffee in La Quinta, California on January 16. The coffee wasn’t entirely private, as former co-star Teddy Mellencamp was in attendance, walking ahead of the actress and Wade during the walk.

The reality star and the country singer were photographed chatting as they carried coffee from the shop. While their close friendship has sparked speculation, Richards has consistently denied the rumors, insisting that she and Wade are just friends.

Although Richards maintains that her relationship with Wade is purely platonic, she admitted that she questioned her sexuality, especially after her split from ex-husband Maurizio Umansky.

The TV personality revealed that this period of self-reflection was confusing for her. “It felt good to be honest about it,” she admitted, admitting it was something she had never really thought about until the past few years.

“I’m learning about myself,” she added, stressing that it takes time to figure things out. Richards’ separation from Umansky in 2023, caused by rumors of his infidelity, seems to have led to significant changes in her personal life.
