Fumes in cockpit forces Hawaiian-bound flight to return to Seattle

Fumes from the cockpit of a Hawaii-bound flight caused the plane to return to the runway Seattle Airport just after takeoff on Monday afternoon.
An airline representative told FOX Business about it Hawaiian Airlines Flight HA21 returned to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport after departure due to fumes in the cabin.It was en route to Honolulu’s Daniel K. Inouye International Airport.

The captain declared an emergency to receive priority maintenance and the Airbus 330 landed in SEA without incident, the airline said.
Medical and fire crews met the plane at the gate and all 273 passengers and 10 crew members disembarked safely.

After cleaning the plane, the Port of Seattle Fire Department investigated and did not detect any smoke or odor, airport spokesman Perry Cooper told The Associated Press.
Flight 21:00 left Seattle Tuesday morning on a new plane.
