It’s Ford recalling more than 272,000 vehicles because 12 volt batteries can have internal problems that fail unexpectedly while driving.
According to a notice issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the 2021-2023 Ford Bronco Sport and 2022-2023 Ford Mavericks are affected by the recall.
The agency said the vehicle’s battery may have problems with its internal connections or the parts that keep the battery connected. The problem could cause the vehicle to not start after an automatic stop or start, according to NHTSA the stop.
