For security, Android phones will already be adjusted in three days
Google Android’s mobile operating system will now restart if the phone is locked for three days in a row.
On Monday pressed updates to Google Play ServicesA major part of Android, which provides applications functionality and the operating system itself. Listed under “Security and Privacy” is a new security feature that “will automatically restart your device if locked in 3 consecutive days.”
Last year, Apple rolls out the same IOS featureS Thinking behind adding automatic restart after a certain period of inaction is to make life more difficult for someone trying to unlock or extract data from a phone; For example, law enforcement using a forensic device such as those made by Cellular or ForensicS
Before being turned on and unlocked, certain data stored inside are fully encrypted and more difficult to access without a password to the user. This is known as a “before the first unlock” state. Once unlocked, on the other hand, some data are decrypted and can potentially be available through the rough password or take advantage of the deficiencies of security that usually works on law enforcement. This condition is known as “after the first unlock”.
Google did not answer a comment request, asking what the motivation behind this new feature is.
