The world’s biggest tech show is coming to an end, and it’s been tough. Mostly. But it is not without advantages. Maybe you should sit down and experience the first CES media event or maybe you get a wonderful facial that combines cooling plates with creating photos that will haunt you for the rest of your professional career? Or maybe you’re running away from violence and… the fungus of in an immersive experience. (Work hard, play harder.)

This week, Delta was the first company to host a CES press conference, or as the presenter called it, “the show” at the Sphere in Las Vegas. You’ve probably heard of the high-tech venue, which usually hosts fascinating concerts rather than trade shows. The “multi-sensory experience” features indoor and outdoor surfaces covered in LED displays and offering 4D effects such as wind and smells. And Delta uses all of those. Apple, Google, Sony and the rest of you, it’s time to up your game.

While many of CES’s most significant announcements won’t come until later in 2025, there are some great things you can order now. Like Anker’s a four-port charger that can output 140W and has its ports on the top/bottom, making it less likely to fall out of your power outlet. Segway is the first are also available for pre-order if you’re feeling extra spendy, though specific prices remain a mystery.

Astrohaus has been making its “distraction-free writing instruments” under the Freewrite name for about a decade. Until now, they’ve been stand-alone devices with one purpose only for writing text, but the Freewrite Wordrunner is a keyboard designed specifically for writers. The function row has been replaced by a custom set of keys that includes find and replace, undo and redo, paragraph up and down, and back, forward, and reload keys. The device will launch with early bird pricing on Kickstarter in February, but we don’t know the price yet.
