The annual awards ceremony was originally scheduled to take place on January 12, but was postponed to January 26 after the Santa Ana winds caused numerous fires to spread across the Los Angeles area. The fires destroyed businesses, schools and homes, forcing thousands to flee the region and claiming at least 25 lives.
Deadline it was later reported that the ceremony was postponed a second time until February, although the exact date has not yet been announced.
There were several celebrities suffered from firesincluding Adam Brodiewhich was nominated for Best Actor in a Comedy Series for Netflix Nobody wants that. Although the Golden Globes are also voted on by entertainment journalists, the CCA is part of the Critics Choice Awards.
