Kunal Shah-backed investment platform Stack Wealth has come under the radar after a timeless video featuring its CEO Smriti Tomar went viral on social media for all the wrong reasons employees because they failed to meet sales goals.

He is heard saying to a group of employees. “If you don’t make enough sales, you don’t get your full and final (FNF) payment. To make matters worse, he can be heard referring to the employee as ‘stupid.’

When an employee reads the terms and conditions of the contract, he threatens to send another letter regarding the same.

Needless to say, the viral video angered netizens, who called the young CEO an “entitled fist” and fought for a structure and proper laws that would hold those in power accountable for their actions.

“I spoke to Smriti once, she is too entitled and looks down on most people,” the user said.

“I had an interview here and almost planned to join but the talks got me a little sidetracked so I didn’t. And thank god I didn’t,” wrote a second user.

“I think we really need a structure and a proper law to hold these people accountable. The startup ecosystem in India is becoming miserable by the day. My friend is working in Ola and the environment is so bad that I can even describe it. My colleague at zepto there are no working hours, people work randomly until 4-5 in the morning,” commented a third user.

“I think he should sit down and do the salesman’s job… People should understand that marketing and sales are among the most difficult jobs. The company must have a strategy and teach the salesperson to formulate it correctly. instead of putting all the burden on them and blaming them for not selling enough… I think people put in the hard work in private sector jobs because they don’t want to go through it,” another user noted.

Another user wrote: “I got a call from Stealth for an opening. But then they ignored me, even after following them around a few times. I’m so lucky I haven’t been a part of a workplace like that.”

Meanwhile, a former employee said in a LinkedIn post that he was fired without notice on January 4, while the company claimed the company withheld his salary for the month of December.

He said that only a day later he was informed that he would not receive a salary, and that on the same day several people were released under the same conditions.

When he asked for clarification, he was only told that his performance was not satisfactory, and he soon discovered that Stack Wealth owed around Rs 7.5 lakh in unpaid rent for their office building.
