England star Ben Stokes breaks his silence after being ruled out of competitive cricket for 3 months
England Test Cricket Captain, Ben Stokeshas been sidelined from all forms of cricket for at least three months following a tear in his left hamstring, a setback confirmed by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). The injury occurred during the third Test against New Zealand earlier this month, which England eventually lost by 423 runs, despite taking the series 2-1.
Notably, the 33-year-old was forced off the field on Day 3 of the match after delivering a bouncer that was bowled for four by Rachin Ravindra. The ECB confirmed Stokes would undergo surgery in January, ruling him out of England’s white-ball tour of India and the Champions Trophy in early 2025.
