Elon Musk lobbies legislators under vehicle rules without drivers
Elon Musk May have given up from his duties as a presenter of Ministry of Government Efficiency And an adviser to President Trump, but he is still active in DC circles. This time he is on the other side, lobbies legislators under legislation related to autonomous vehicles, according to a Bloomberg report who quoted unnamed sources.
Musk and others in his orbit were called directly members of the Congress, according to Bloomberg. His efforts seem to be aimed at a bill introduced on May 15, called Autonomous Act to accelerate vehicleS
Musk has bet much of Tesla’s future for AI, robotics and autonomous vehicles. It has often binding the company’s value to the investment and its possible commercialization of autonomous vehicles. And next month Tesla is expected to release small and Geophane service Robotaxi in Austin, Texas. Tesla also wants to eventually deploy autonomous vehicles – branded cyberbatics – who have no steering wheel or pedals. But today there are no clear federal rules or standards to allow such a vehicle to work on a scale.
