Drake is the latest celebrity to endorse a doppelgänger in his honor.

The 38-year-old rapper said he will award $10,000 to the winner of the contest, which was held in his hometown of Toronto on Saturday, December 14.

After Toronto’s Casuals Bakery announced a doppelganger contest, the “God’s Plan” rapper took to the eatery on Instagram last week. “I’m adding 10 bands to a like-like contest… as the grand prize,” Drake said in a direct message shared publicly bakery on Thursday, December 12.

The owner of Casuals wrote next to a screenshot of the exchange: “I can barely type and all the shock has gone through my body. But yes, it’s true and real and I hope the Drake doppelgängers are ready 🔥 letsssssss goooooooo. “

A fan who wore Drake’s pigtails won Saturday’s doppelgänger competition saw sports in October and sporting a full beard, according to a video shared by the bakery.

The Drake Lookalike contest follows similar contests around the world that celebrate likes Timothée Chalamet, Paul Mescal, Glen Powell, Zayn Malik and Harry Styles.

Dune Chalamet star failed the doppelgänger competition in New York’s Washington Square Park in October. Chalamet appeared to make his way into the crowd wearing a baseball cap and black mask before eventually uncovering himself and stopping to pose for photos with excited fans.

Miles Mitchella contestant from Staten Island who dressed as Willy Wonka won the competition. Mitchell, 21, said Us Weekly he will “buy a bunch of chocolate” for his winnings.

In November Hit Man Star Powell, 36, made a promise to the winner of the twins’ competition held in Austin, Texas. cameo in his next film for a family member.

“Look, I know there’s money and a hat on the line, but I just want to say that the winner of tonight’s contest is going to get a personal prize from me,” Powell said in a video shared via X. “Now you can know what my parents do a cameo in every film I make, but today the winner of the Glenn Powell doppelganger contest wins their parents or any family member of their choice a cameo in my next film. I’m completely serious.”

According to Austin American statesman, Max Braunstein won the contest and took part in a video chat with Powell after the ceremony. Photographs taken by the publication showed attendees arriving in costumes complete with cowboy hats reminiscent of Powell’s character in TwistersTyler Owens.
