Discord made your streaming much more comfortable for users

Discord announced on Tuesday that it was restoring its overlay function from the beginning.

The new overlay is making Discord streaming games more comfortable for users at the end of the strime.

In their hereditary form, strime can switch the overlay display to use discord while playing games, but this will lead to the entire Discord customer in the center of the screen, blocking the flow and making a clumsy user experience.

In the new version of Overlay, users can add specific gadgets for discord that will appear around the easy access screen, which makes it possible to see messages and adjust the sound and video settings without downloading the entire Discord client. These gadgets can be customized for opacity, sizing and screening.

If another friend surrenders at the same time, the picture widget in a picture allows you to look at their feed from your own overlay, which can be useful for people who play online games together. Users can also see other users’ webcam videos if they are in live chat.

Discord says the overlay feature will be compatible with more games and will work with a faster performance.

Discord also reveals some updates to its desktop application. Dark Mode enthusiasts will be glad to learn that the platform gets more free dark topics, so you can switch between a little different shades of black and gray (ash, dark and onyx to be specific). New user interface density options will also allow users to customize the distance of the words.

These updates are more focused on power users, especially creators who can use housing flows in the server as ways to make money. But even for casual users who play games with some friends, these quality of life upgrades must be welcomed.
