Detention of the Italian journalist in Iran’s Evin prison is unacceptable

The Italian government has been imprisoned in Iran for more than a week, the Italian government said on Friday, calling Cecilia Clara’s detention “unacceptable”. Cecilia Sala, 29, who works for Il Foglio newspaper and podcast company Chora Media, is being held in solitary confinement at Tehran’s notorious Evin prison, according to her employer.
