Much of “The Substance” features Moore without dialogue

According to The Hollywood Reporterin most of Moore’s scenes in “Substance,” the actress has “no dialogue.”
“The script was so interesting, so unconventional to read, the way it explored the issue of aging,” Moore said. – I was fascinated by the fact that the violence that we can have against ourselves is investigated, in this way we can analyze and criticize. I’ve found, at least in my own life experience, that it’s really not something anyone else has ever done to me. The impact has always been on what I do with myself, internally.”
“So it was all about the weird, intimate moments we have with ourselves, when we’re often naked, looking, analyzing, thinking,” she continued. “It was a really interesting task to create a fulfilling life for her, because I had no one else to feed me. It was also very technical.”
