Delta, United, Alaska tops in North America for on-time performance

Many travelers have experienced flight delays at one point or another.
A recent Cirium report revealed the top performers for 2024 among airlines globally and regionally when it came to on-time flight operations.
For North American airlines, Delta Airlines and nine other carriers appeared on the aviation analytics firm’s 2024 list of “Top 10 Winners” for punctuality, with flights that arrived within 15 minutes of their scheduled gate arrival time considered “on time.”

The airline also said it believes “responsibility for reliable air travel rests equally with the U.S. government that operates our nation’s air traffic control system,” urging the government to “prioritize the modernization of aging ATC technology” and address the “chronic shortage of air traffic controllers.” “, FOX Business reported earlier.

Aeromexico, based in Mexico City, was ranked No. 1 in Cirium’s global airline punctuality rankings, with flights on time 86.70% of the time, according to the report.
