Remember when Pixar changed the animation forever with the brave, inventive and other creative “History of toys?” How about when the studio continued to release Original films that pushed the animation forward Studying much different stories and genres (such as “bugs”, “monsters, inc.” and “the incredibles”)? Of course, in the previous days there were a continuation, but not only films like “Toy Story 2”, in fact, provide something new and other from their predecessors, but also balanced twice more original Pixar films.

Well, say goodbye to the old good times! Pixar, like its maternal company Walt Disney Studios, is now all about pursuing a powerful and elusive dollar with an artistic trick that parents will go to the cinema to see because virtually nothing can entertain children in the movies. We already knew that Pixar was Creating not just another sequel “toy story”But the third movie “Incredible”. Now Disney CEO, who refuses to leave, Bob Iger has announced that “Coco 2” is in active development in Pixar and seeks for the 2029 theatrical issue.

“While the movie is in the initial stages, we know that it will be full of humor, heart and adventure,” – Iger threatened Promised in a press release. “And we can’t wait to share more quickly.”

“Coco 2” to be quite sincere is a terrible idea, more than either “toy story 5” or “incredible 3.” Of course, it makes a lot of meaning on sale. Like “Inside Out”, the original “Coco” was the only real hit of the film Pixar 2010 (a tumultuous decade that gave the studio the first bomb with the box office with a “good dinosaur”). And yet, while “Coco 2” may be A huge hit by the “Inside Out 2” line Continuation risks greatly reduce the cultural influence and importance of its predecessor.

Coco 2 has financial meaning but it’s still a scary idea

“Coco” was a wonderful movie, even a masterpiece. He had not only a stunning animation and production design, but also a wonderful history that perfectly reflected Mexican culture and tradition. But “Coco” is definitely not a movie that lends itself to a continuation. After all, the movie title is by itself a reference to a character that runs at the end of the movie. Will the continuation just bring Coco’s mom (which was announced by the late Ana Ana Afelia Murgui in the first movie) back, reviewing her into the ground of the dead? Will her great -grandson Miguel (Anthony Gonzalez) decide another secret associated with a secret relative?

The whole point is that the story of “Coco” was not only about Miguel, who went to a great adventure. It was a movie about growing up, though the one that did not rise on the continuation (even when Miguel’s upbringing again). Rather, “Coco” told an unusual, independent story, complete with a secret that was resolved and left absolutely no protracted questions and not teasing to the next. History, Continuation of Coco, about how creatively went on paper, as many, many, many long-lasting videos (for example, “Extremely blunt film” or “Notre Dame Tea II”).

There is also a problem that Disney and Pixar were engaged after the original “Coco”. Despite the fact that Disney’s press release says that the continuation will return the director Lee Leaf, as well as the co-director/co-authors Adrian Molina, he does not say anything about the Coco songwriting team, Molina Franco, Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez. Will anyone return any of them other than Molina? Will Disney try to change the song style to become more “commercial” in continuation? Does it dare to bring Lin Manuel Miranda just because it can?

Honestly, it is difficult to imagine that Coco 2 was located where the Coco’s giant success was creatively. But hey as long as it earns money at least Disney will be happy …
