Chris Pratt says Anna Faris' ex's house burned down

Chris Pratt offered an update on his family among fires continue in Los Angelesrevealing this ex-wife Anna Faris“The house burned down.

“Okay, I’ll go check on my house. It’s a miracle it’s still standing,” Pratt, 45, said in an Instagram video uploaded on Wednesday, Jan. 22. “By the grace of God, we have four walls and a roof.”

Pratt said he was “going to look around town,” noting that he hadn’t been home since the Palisades fires.

“As you know, it’s really devastating. “The silver lining is that my house was saved, but at the same time many people’s houses were burned around us and the community disappeared,” he continued. “My son’s school is gone. The house of the son’s mother burned down.”

Pratt shares 12-year-old son Jack with Faris, 48, to whom he was married from 2009 to 2018. After their divorcehe moved on Katherine Schwarzenegger. Pratt and Schwarzenegger, 35, got married in 2019 and have since welcomed three children. (Faris married a cinematographer Michael Barrett in 2021.)

“It’s been a tough few weeks, but we’re resilient,” Pratt captioned the video. “Praying for Los Angeles and all those affected, we will get through this together. God bless you.”

On January 7, a severe storm driven by Santa Ana gusts sparked rapid brush fires that quickly spread across Los Angeles. As of Wednesday, the fires were 70 percent contained and more than 23,000 hectares of land had burned. At least 27 people died as a result of the fire.

Celebrities have spoken out in the wake of the destruction, sharing information about their homes, some of which were burned to the ground. Pratt is one of the lucky ones whose house is still standing. Earlier this week Nina Dobrova spoke sincerely on “survivor’s guilt” after her house survived one of the fires.

“I put myself in the shoes of all these people whose houses burned to the ground with their belongings, their memories, their everything that made them feel safe in the world now gone and their insurance abandoned them,” the actress said in a video in Instagram January 19. “For some of them, the level of tragedy is immeasurable and it’s really hard to understand. They lost everything.”
