BEIJING (Reuters) – Chinese Vice President Han Zhen met with Tesla (NASDAQ: ) CEO Elon Musk and other members of the U.S. business community in Washington on Sunday, the official Xinhua news agency reported on Monday.
Han told Musk that he “welcomed Tesla and other US companies to seize opportunities and share the benefits of China’s development and promote the growth of China-US economic and trade relations,” according to the report.
US President-elect Donald Trump invited Chinese President Xi Jinping to participate in the inauguration after winning the presidential elections last year. Si was sent by Han instead.
