Chiefs honor new baby Patrick Mahomes before NFL playoff game

The Kansas City Chiefs gave a subtle welcome to the Mahomes family and its newest addition ahead of the NFL’s first playoff game of the season.
“QB1 looks golden,” execs Posted on X on Saturday, January 18. The post featured a video of the starting quarterback Patrick Mahomes arrives at Arrowhead Stadium as the team prepares to face the Houston Texans in the divisional round of the playoffs.
Patrick’s wife, Brittany Mahomesresponded to the sweet tribute by re-sharing the OG post Instagram story while typing “Caption” along with one big eye emoji and one ugly cry.
Earlier this week, on Monday, January 13, Patrick and Brittany announced the birth of their third child. The couple also shared her unique name.

The couple, who tied the knot in March 2022, are already parents to daughter Sterling and son Bronze, born in February 2021 and November 2022, respectively.
Several celebrities were quick to take to the comments section to congratulate the couple, including Travis Kelcegirlfriend Taylor Swiftwho “liked” the post.
“Uncle Jack already loves her very much,” Patrick’s brother, Jack Mahomeswrote in his own Instagram story, reposting a photo of the pair to Swift’s “Daylight.”
“It was great meeting you today, dear Golden! Can’t wait for the memories! You have the BEST PARENTS,” he continued in the message. “And the best uncle.”
Kelsey and older brother — and retired Philadelphia Eagles center — Jason Kells also congratulated the couple via the “Great Heights” podcast Instagram account.
The proud mom recently gave fans a peek inside Golden’s nursery Instagram a post published on Thursday, January 16th.
“When I found out I was having a girl, I immediately thought of pink for the nursery,” she explained. “I really wanted to make Golden’s nursery very warm and pink. And then obviously tying in the gold just to go with her name was really where we got most of the inspiration for her room.”
While the Chiefs looked to welcome Golden’s arrival as the team prepared for its first playoff game of the year, new mom Brittany was MIA (and understandably so, considering she just had a baby). Her BFF, Swift, attendedhowever — the pop star arrived at the divisional playoff game in a chic black Chanel mini dress with a pearl belt and a matching plaid jacket. She completed her look with a Chanel handbag and her signature red lips.
Earlier this week, Kelce confirmed that Swift would be in the stands. “You know it, baby,” he said on the Monday, Jan. 13, episode of ESPN. The Pat McAfee Show. “You know it’s playoff football, man.”
Kelce also referenced one of Swift’s most popular songs while sharing his excitement for the game. “I feel passion,” he noted. “I’m 22 again, baby. Let’s go.”
