Celebrities who were overserved at the Golden Globes.

The Golden Globe is one of the few awards shows to offer food and drink to the star-studded audience during the broadcast, meaning celebrities occasionally imbibe too much on the big night.

In 2014 Cate Blanchett won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama for her role in Blue jasmine. “Well, what crept up. I have a few vodkas under my belt and here we are,” she said as she approached the podium.

In a couple of weeks she told Telegraph that she had too much to drink by the end of the show. “Unfortunately, my category came out quite late in the evening, so I was a couple of letters in the wind,” the Australian-born told the British publication. “After your name is read, it’s a thrill like no other, so I can’t remember much. I hope I haven’t done too many things I’ll regret.”

However, it’s not just the winners who have to stick together. Chrissy Teigen could not control her emotions when her husband, John Legendwon the Golden Globe for Best Original Song at the 2015 Golden Globes and became a cult meme.

“Sorry, I’m not working out my tearful face ok,” she tweeted later that night after cameras captured her anguished tearful face. “It’s been 5 minutes and I’m a meme.”

In February 2021, Teigen, who has since soberadmitted that b was over served. “Happy anniversary to this drunk dumbass lmao,” she captioned an Instagram photo of the viral moment.
