Real Housewives of Potomac alum. Candias Dillard not happy with how much Steven “TWitch” Boss’s widow is worth Alison Holkersaid about him in a recent interview.

Holker said she discovered her late husband’s drug addiction when she found a large supply of substances hidden in his shoe boxes.

The revelation saddened Holker, who never knew tWitch, to whom she had been married for nine years, was struggling with issues she was unaware of.

tWitch committed suicide in December 2022. He was 40 years old.

On Tuesday, Dillard commented on the author’s message PEOPLE magazine on X about Holker’s interview in which she revealed how she discovered tWitch’s drug addiction.

The TV personality was unhappy that Holker had revealed so much about her late husband and felt that she was not protecting their children and his legacy.

Dillard wrote“I’m not even going to say it. But this white woman will do anything but protect her black children and her black husband’s legacy. She could have kept it in her therapist’s office. SMH.”

A fan responded to Dillard’s post, saying Holker could have used her interview to raise awareness about mental illness or substance abuse.

Fan wrote“I wouldn’t do it, but could it be that her intention is to make people aware of mental illness/addiction, recognize the signs and remove the stigma? I just hope she managed his family first. Not that that it makes it easier for any of them.”

However, Dillard answered to a fan’s comment, saying Holker should have taken his findings to a black-owned news outlet.

She wrote, “She (Holker) could easily pitch this story to Essence or Ebony, where they would care to share such a tragically intimate story of the plight of the black man against himself.”

Dillard’s comments came after Holker gave an interview PEOPLE magazine, making a shocking discovery about her deceased husband in one of the most difficult days of her life.

She shared that she found a “cornucopia” of drugs, including pills, mushrooms and “other substances” that she had to search through her phone. The drugs were hidden in tWitch’s shoe boxes.

Holker recalled, “I was with one of my very dear friends and we were cleaning out his closet and picking out his funeral outfit.”

She added: “It was a really exciting moment for me because there were a lot of things in our closet that I didn’t know about. I was very alarmed to learn that there was so much going on that I had no idea about” (approximate).”

Holker said what she learned was a “really scary moment” in her life. Still, it helped her realize that tWitch “was going through so much, and he was hiding so much, and there must have been a lot of shame in that.”

Holker reveals that tWitch had painful secrets

According to Holker, she and tWitch had a frank conversation with each other, including about their use of marijuana. However, looking through his diaries after his death in search of clarity and closure, she discovered he kept painful secrets from her.

She said: “He was struggling with a lot inside himself and he was trying to self-medicate and deal with all these feelings because he didn’t want to push it on anyone because he loved everyone so much.”

Holker also shared that tWitch alluded to being sexually abused by a man as a child, adding, “He didn’t want other people to take on his pain.”

Although Holker felt betrayed after revealing tWitch’s secrets, she gained new insights as time went on.

She said: “Reading Stephen’s diaries and even going back to the books he was reading and what he was highlighting and underlining really gave me a better idea of ​​where he was in life and what things he was struggling with. made me feel great empathy for him and sadness for all the pain he was holding.”

Holker hopes to save those who struggle in silence

Holker’s interview comes ahead of the release of her memoir, It’s Far, which will be released on February 4. The book details her journey to healing after her husband’s death.

During the interview, she expressed her desire to save even one person who is struggling in silence by sharing tWitch’s plight.

She said: “It was very difficult to put all the pieces together. Through certain discussions, even with friends and things that were said, reading his journals … you realize that he went through a lot as a child and never faced it.”

Holker added: “It’s hard to think that he’s never opened up to someone and wanted to face it, come out the other side. I really hope that people who are dealing with the same thing will help themselves to come out of the shadows and (know) you will be okay.”

tWitch had three children with Holker: 16-year-old Wesley, 8-year-old Maddox and 5-year-old Zaya.
