Britney Spears calls son Jaden “a miracle and a genius” amid reunion

Spears, 43, took to Instagram on Monday, Dec. 30, to praise son Jaden, 18, just days after their spent Christmas together for the first time in years.
“Mine forever!!!” she wrote next to two shots of Jaden standing in a natural setting, sporting baggy jeans and an oversized burgundy shirt.
The pop legend continued: “It is strange that we are like twins, but he is a boy and I am a girl !!! He’s mine, I haven’t seen him in 2 and a half years, maybe 3!!! I’m shocked!!! He is back and feels older and smarter than me!!! He is a man and I cry every day because of the miracle and genius that he is!!! When he plays, the whole earth shakes!!!”
Britney Spears may be a global superstar, but when it comes to her boys, she’s just a mom. Spears previously announced her reunion via Instagram on Dec. 25, share videos of her and Jayden where she called him “my baby” before kissing him on the cheek.
“Best Christmas of my life!!! I haven’t seen my boys in 2 years!!!” she signed the post. “Tears of joy and literally shock everyday coo coo crazy so in love and blessed!!!”
At the time, Spears said she was “speechless” when she saw Jaden. The singer shares a teenager with her ex-husband, as well as a 19-year-old son, Preston Kevin Federline.
After her divorce from 46-year-old Federline in 2007, Britney was under the supervision of her father, Jamie Spearsfor most of her children’s lives. The conservatorship ended at the end of 2021 after 13 years, and Britney has been around ever since strained relationship with his sons.

“I think mom struggled to give us both the same amount of attention and love, and I don’t think she showed Preston enough, and I feel really bad about that,” Jaden said. Daily Mail in 2022 “We’ve both been through so much pressure in the past that this is now our safe place to process all the emotional trauma we’ve been through to heal, to heal our mental state. When I complained, she followed (my brother). I feel guilty so I’m with him. My mother started treating me better.”
Britney responded to Jaden’s comments at the time, writing via Instagram: “I tell my son Jaden I send you all the love in the world every day for the rest of my life.”
She added: “My love for my children knows no bounds and it makes me very sad to know that he is screaming that I am not living up to his expectations of a mother… and maybe one day we will meet face to face and let’s talk about it openly!”
Then Jaden and Preston moved to Hawaii with his father and his wife, Victoria Princealong with his half-siblings, in 2023. Jaden has since moved back to California.

“Jaden is spending time in California but not living with Britney,” the source said exclusively told Us Weekly in November. “All his friends are still in California and he wanted to come back after high school. Jaden turned to Britney and started a conversation.’
An insider noted that Jaden was “open to mending the relationship» with his mother.
“It will take time and will not be an instant reconciliation. They saw each other twice and (it) was very short-lived,” the source continued. “Britney was very happy to hear him. She hopes they can continue to spend time together and hopes Preston comes back as well. There was a hole in her heart from not seeing her boys. Jayden’s appeal means everything to her.’
