Macaulay Culkin and By Brenda SongThe relationship is filled with sweet milestones, but one of the funniest moments came thanks to an unexpected start.

The couple, who first met on the set of Changeland, began sparking romance rumors in 2017 after being spotted on a double date at Knotts Berry Farm in California.

Since then, Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song have kept much of their relationship under wraps, but from time to time they offer fans a glimpse into their world.

In a recent interview with A commotion On Jan. 7, Song talked about how Costco became an unexpected place for a heart-to-heart with Culkin.

“I had just taken my son to daycare and was with Mac. We were sitting in Costco and it hadn’t opened yet,” Song recalled. “Mac was sitting there going, ‘Baby’ — he’d never been to Costco before we started dating — ‘We’re sitting at Costco. I’m in Crocs. Costco isn’t even open yet. You have tamed the beast, my dear.’

The moment was both hilarious and tender, capturing the down-to-earth dynamic between the two stars. Song added with a laugh, “And I said, ‘How dare you, sir!'”

Their Costco outing took an unexpected turn when Song received a career-changing phone call. “My agent calls me and says, ‘Hey, I’ve got a really great script for you. Do you have a second one? what are you doing And I said, “Oh, I’m sitting in the parking lot at Costco before it opens.” She says, “I need to find you a job.”

In April 2021, the couple welcomed their first son, Dakota, and in December 2022, their second son, Carson. In January 2022, their engagement was confirmed after Song was spotted with an engagement ring in Beverly Hills. “They’ve always been very much in love with each other,” the source said Us Weekly at that time.

In December 2023, Culkin received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, where he spoke highly of Song during his acceptance speech. “Last but not least, I would like to thank Brenda. You are absolutely everything. You are my champion,” Culkin said. “You are the only person who is happier for me today than I am. You’re not only the best woman I’ve ever known, you’re the best man I’ve ever known.’

Recalling that “special” moment, Son said, “We (the kids) couldn’t miss it.”

“Duck was so afraid of all the cameras,” she said. “That’s one of the reasons why we kind of keep them away (from the spotlight). They didn’t understand what was happening.”

Starting at the age of 16, Song spent six years portraying London Tipton’s likable and hilariously clueless socialite in Zack & Cody’s Suite Life and its sequel, Life on Deck – a role where, naturally, the dialogue was G. – rating.

“Based on the Disney Channel experience, I think people are almost scared. It’s amazing to see you like this,” she said A commotion. “But I’ll be honest. I think in LA “f—k” is a verb. It is a noun. It is an adjective. It’s natural in my language. Ever since the kids were born, I’ve had to really take care of myself. People like to say that valley girls say “like”. I think we say “b-t” the same way as “how”.

A few years ago, Son told that she and Culkin were navigating parenthood without a babysitter, but she’s grateful for her strong support system that helps her juggle parenting and acting.

“My fiance and I are very hands-on,” she said Section raising children. “We don’t have a babysitter, but my mom has been with us since my son was born. He is already 9 months old.”

She added: “I think when you and your partner have children, especially in the first few months, you don’t have the patience to be polite to each other. Being communicative when you need help is very important. Instead of assigning responsibilities, we just grope each other, I’ll put my son down and my partner says, “Let me feed the animals and cook dinner.”

Speaking to Bustle, the former Disney star recalled what it was like to start a family with the “Home Alone” star.

“I had two pregnancies in one calendar year. It was a lot,” she said. “Once I became a mother, it made me question a lot: my place in this industry, my place as a woman, age in this industry, societal pressures about what beauty is, what being young is. Things I’ve never doubted before.”

She added: “And my priority is my children, so I can’t just uproot my life and go live in Bulgaria for nine months to make a movie. I thought, “Does acting still fit into my life?”
