Brazilian influencer Ricardo Godoi dies aged 45 ahead of tattoo session

“Today we say goodbye to Ricardo Godoi, an incredible man who left his mark on the hearts of all who had the honor of knowing him,” Godoi’s official said in a statement on Monday, January 20. Instagram to read “His joy, generosity and light will live on in our memories and in every story he helped build.”
The statement continued: “May he rest in peace. Our condolences to the family and friends 💔.”
Godoi reportedly turned to a local tattoo studio a new work of art on the back, according to several outlets. Allegedly, his heart stopped on the operating table. The investigation is ongoing.
“What happened was that at the beginning of sedation and intubation, his heart stopped,” said the owner of the studio. Daily Mail in the statement. “It happened before they even started tattooing him. He was quickly examined and a cardiologist was called to try to revive him, unfortunately without success.”
According to the publication, Godoi had to make a tattoo under general anesthesia, sedative and intubation.
“For this, we have hired a private hospital with all the staff, equipment and anesthetic necessary for the safety of the procedure,” it said in a statement on Monday. “We also hired a doctor with a specialty in anesthesiology and experience in intubation, whose documentation was approved by the hospital.”
The report said: “Blood tests were previously requested and showed no obvious risk from the procedure. Ricardo signed a consent form regarding the risks of the procedure.’
