Braven Legend Chipper Jones Zones Fame Voters To Keep Former Teammate Out: ‘Make Sure’

Hall of Fame voting hall results in arguments every yearFor the eighth year in a row, the crowd has been booing Andrew Jones.

The past Atlanta Braves Pielder received the highest percentage of votes on Monday, but he did not join Ichiro Suzuki, CC Sabathia and Billy Wagner.

Jones created a lot of space.

He only got 7.3% of the vote in his first year on the ballot, but this week it’s up to 66.2%. Players need 75% to be selected.

With 434 home runs at the plate, Jones is considered one of the greatest defensive bodies of all time. From 1998-2007, he won 10 consecutive Gold Glove awards after 2007, at least two at all three outfield positions, while hitting with a career .823 OPS.

Baseball writers have long been hall of fame voters, but flawed concepts in the voting system are calling for changes to the process.

Chipper and Andrew were teammates from 1996 to 2012, playing in the World Series in 1996 and 1999, both losing to the Yankees twice. Together, they won 10 straight NL East titles.
