Having been “friends and sisters of Blake Lively for over twenty years,” the three actresses said they “stand in solidarity with (Lively) as she fights the campaign that has been reported to have inflated her reputation.”

They added: “During the filming of It Ends With Us, we saw her muster the courage to ask for a safe workplace for herself and her colleagues on set, and we are horrified to read evidence of the deliberate and vindictive effort that followed to discredit her voice.”

While it’s hard to see Lively through it, the three actresses said “what’s most upsetting is the shameless use of domestic abuse survivors’ stories to silence a woman who asked for safety.”

“The hypocrisy is staggering,” they added.

“We are struck by the reality that even when a woman is as powerful, famous and wealthy as our friend Blake, she can face brutal retaliation for daring to ask for a safe work environment,” they concluded in their statement.

Their public show of support comes as social media continues to analyze every detail of the case, which has focused on conversations surrounding power dynamics in Hollywood, gender equality and the role of public perception in high-profile court battles.

In her lawsuit, the 37-year-old actress claimed that Justin Baldoni engaged in sexual misconduct on the set of the film. As a result, a meeting was called to address her concerns, during which Baldoni and his production company reportedly agreed to meet several of her demands, including: “No more showing Blake nude videos or images of women, no more mention of Baldoni’s alleged addiction away from pornography, and no more discussions about sexual conquests in front of Blake and others.”

Lively’s complaint also alleges that Baldoni hired crisis public relations expert Melissa Nathan, who previously worked with Johnny Depp during the highly publicized libel trial against Amber Heard.
