Sloane added: ‘It is clear that Mr Baldoni and his Wayfarer Associates believe that I have created press articles about complaints about footage on set, which is false. Please review Ms. Lively’s complaint and the complaint filed by Jonesworks LLC and Stephanie Jones detailing the campaign against my client.”
As previously reported, Lively sued Baldoni for sexual harassment on the set of the domestic violence drama, and accused her director/colorist of mounting a smear campaign against her during the film’s press tour last summer.
“I hope my lawsuit will help lift the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak up about misconduct and help protect others who may be targeted,” Lively said in a statement to New York Times.
Through his lawyer Brian Friedman, Baldoni called the allegations “totally false, outrageous and deliberately obscene.”
In response to Art Daily Mail story about the counterclaim, Friedman said Deadline:
“I’m not going to talk about when or how many lawsuits we file, but if we do file our first lawsuit, it will shock everyone who has been manipulated into believing a patently false narrative. It will be supported by real evidence and tell a true story. In over 30 years of practice, I have never seen this level of unethical behavior deliberately fueled by media manipulation.”
