On Thursday, Jan. 16, it was reported that Baldoni, 40, his studio and other plaintiffs were suing Lively, 37, Reynolds, 48, and her publicist. Leslie Sloanfor The damage is 400 million dollars.
In one portion 120-page lawsuitwhich was received Us WeeklyBaldoni claimed that Lively “kept out of character” in the montage scene and “spoke for herself, not for Lily, much to Baldoni’s dismay.”
“Lively apologized for the smell of her tan and body lotion. Baldoni replied, ‘That smells good,’ and continued to play, slowly dancing as he believed his character would do with his partner, which required some physical touch,” the statement said. (In Lively’s December 2024 lawsuit against Baldoni, she alleged of the same scene: “At one point, he leaned forward and slowly moved his lips from her ear down her neck, saying, ‘It smells so good.'” None of this was remotely in character or based on any dialogue in the script, and nothing needed to be said because, again, there was no sound – Mr. Baldoni caressing Mr. Lively in a way that had nothing to do with their roles. When Ms. Lively later challenged the behavior, Ms. Baldoni replied, “You’re not even attracted to me.”)
According to Baldoni, “Lively took them out of character again and started making jokes about Baldoni’s nose, to which Baldoni laughed and joked in return, even as Lively joked that he needed plastic surgery,” his lawsuit states.
The lawsuit included a footnote that read, “Lively alleges that Baldoni made inappropriate comments about her appearance. Everything was the other way around.” (The footnote referred to Lively’s December 2024 lawsuit, in which she sued Baldoni for sexual harassment and claimed he body-shamed her on set. Baldoni denied all allegations.)

Baldoni’s statement Thursday claims that while Lively claimed the scene was filmed without sound, he was wearing a microphone during the scene — and that the exchange between him and Lively was caught on camera.
“Any suggestion that this scene was filmed by Baldoni in any way other than pure professionalism is unequivocally contradicted by the factual evidence,” the statement said. “Her allegations of sexual harassment are documented and knowingly fabricated lies.”
Baldoni referenced Lively’s alleged “derogatory comments” about his appearance later in the lawsuit, claiming he “publicly expressed insecurities and discussed an episode of his podcast ‘Man Enough’ exploring the topic of body dysmorphia.”
“Lively’s comment about Baldoni’s nose was also caught on camera,” the lawsuit states. “Instead of writing a list of grievances against Lively, Baldoni brushed it off and continued with the scene.”
After the trial, Baldoni’s lawyer, Brian Friedmanshared in a statement for us“This lawsuit is a lawsuit based on an overwhelming amount of unfalsified evidence detailing a duplicitous attempt by Blake Lively and her team to destroy Justin Baldoni, his team and related companies by spreading grossly edited, unsubstantiated, new and fake information to the media. »
The statement continued: “Based on our own complete willingness to provide all text messages, emails, video footage and other documentary evidence that has been provided to the parties in real time, it is clear that this is a battle that will not be won and will certainly be regretted. Blake Lively was either grossly misled by her team or deliberately and knowingly misrepresented the truth.”
“Ms. Lively will never again be allowed to continue to exploit actual victims of real harassment solely for personal gain at the expense of those without power,” the statement said. “Let’s not forget that Ms. Lively and her team tried to destroy reputations and livelihoods for horribly selfish reasons through their own dangerous manipulation of the media before even taking any legal action. We know the truth, now the public does too. Justin and his team have nothing to hide, the documents don’t lie.”
