Jordan Hudson shared a series of photos from a recent date with a boyfriend Bill Belichickincluding one botched selfie of the University of North Carolina’s new head coach.

Hudson, 24, posted a carousel of photos via Instagram on Sunday, Dec. 22, from the American Museum of Natural History’s annual museum gala in New York City earlier this month, which celebrated red carpet debut for the couple for the former college cheerleader and Belichick, 72.

In a selfie taken by Hudson, Belichick was caught with his eyes closed, leaning his forehead against Hudson’s.

While the photo itself may not have been perfect, the rest of the event—which Hudson called “more than just an incredible Night at the Museum”—certainly was.

The daughter of a former fisherman and a self-described “philosopher” and “heritage activist,” Hudson was proud of the museum’s work, which opened in 1871.

“This organization is committed to preserving history, advancing modern research, expanding the frontiers of human knowledge, and providing accessible education for all ages,” Hudson wrote. “The broad significance and applicability of science education is much more relevant than many realize; it reinforces a sense of biocentrism, contributes to better policy-making, preserves culture and heritage, and teaches us about the world we interact with every day.”

Hudson and Belichick made their relationship official in October 2024, when the former varsity cheerleader first posted photos of the couple on Instagram. The duo originally met while sitting next to each other on a plane in 2021, when Hudson was still in college.

On December 11, Belichick signed a five-year, $50 million contract to become the new head football coach at the University of North Carolina.

Hudson took center stage at her introductory news conference held at the school’s Chapel Hill campus and hinted that she planned to go with Belichick.

“We’re in Chapel Hill!!!” Hudson posted via her Instagram story along with the university’s announcement of Belichick’s hiring.

Belichick’s decision to transfer to college football shocked the sports world. He previously won six Super Bowls as head coach of the NFL’s New England Patriots during a 24-year tenure with the franchise before they decided to part ways in January 2024.

In a statement following the hiring announcement, Belichick said his family history played a role in his decision. Belichick’s father Stevewas an assistant coach at North Carolina from 1953-55.

“I am very excited about the opportunity at UNC-Chapel Hill,” Belichick said in a statement. “I grew up with my father around college football and cherished those times. I’ve always wanted to be a college coach, and now I’m looking forward to building a football program in Chapel Hill.”
