Beyoncé postponed the announcement amid the fires in Los Angeles

Beyonce is postponing its long-awaited announcement due to Wildfires in Los Angeles.

“The January 14th announcement will be postponed to a later date due to the devastation caused by the ongoing wildfires in the Los Angeles area,” the 43-year-old pop superstar shared via Instagram on Monday, January 13.

She continued: “I continue to pray for healing and restoration for families suffering from trauma and loss. We are so blessed to have the brave first responders who continue to work tirelessly to protect the Los Angeles community.”

Beyoncé made a major announcement — fans speculated it could be anything from a new tour to a new album — on Jan. 14 after her The NFL Christmas Halftime Show in Houston, Texas. Star performed songs from her Cowboy Carter for the first time during the Baltimore Ravens vs. Houston Texans game on December 25th.

“God bless all the brave men and women in our fire department who risked their lives in dangerous conditions,” Tina continued. “We (thank you) for your dedication and bravery and for saving so many lives. Things could have been a lot worse if it weren’t for the dedication of disaster relief workers and first responders. I feel very sad for the people who have lost five family members. My deepest prayers are with you!!!!!”

She added: “For the people who have lost their homes and possessions, I can only imagine what it’s like to lose your possessions and everything you’ve worked so hard and sacrificed to have! My heart and deepest prayers go out to all of you ❤️I can’t imagine the pain, suffering and fear you are enduring. I am praying diligently for our beautiful city of Los Angeles!! But we’re resilient and we’ll make it!”
