Roommates, it seems Sexy red is in the hot seat with the King family. On Monday (January 20) the rapper shared a photo created by artificial intelligence Martin Luther King Jr on their social networks to celebrate his holiday. well Bernice King made it clear that she doesn’t feel like Sexyy’s chosen visual!

Not only did she call her names on social networks on January 21, but the activist’s daughter also asked the rapper to delete the fake photo.

“This is deliberately disgusting, shameful, deplorable and disrespectful to my family and my father who is not here to answer for himself because he was killed for fighting for your civil and human rights and for putting an end to war and poverty. Please remove.” — Bernice King wrote on X (formally Twitter).

As mentioned, the photo of Sexyy Red and Martin Luther King Jr. was a product of artificial intelligence. It showed Martin holding hands with Sexyy as they looked at each other. It’s unclear if the post was captioned, as the rapper had deleted the photo from her X account as of Tuesday evening. Swipe below to see the image.

That wasn’t the only photo Sexy shared with Dr. King. She also posted another AI-generated image of herself standing next to Martin Luther King Jr. at a mock protest. Her inscription read: “Happy MLK Day!!” This post is still available on X’s profile.

Bernice King clarifies her comment on Sexyy Red

A little more than an hour after her initial post, Bernice King turned back to watch trolls twist her words. She clarified that her call was not a personal attack. Instead, she explained that the AI-generated image of her father and similar images confuse her.

“Please don’t project your thoughts onto me. I don’t think Sexyy Red is “degenerate”, “ghetto” or “trash”. I’ve talked before about using and comparing my parents to denigrate other people. I just don’t understand this type of use of my father’s image (on #MLKDay, no less) in a way that doesn’t convey what we know to be true about his service and sacrifice. Even if you don’t agree with him or his tactics or even believe what the people who hated him say about him, why do that?”

Although the photo appears to have been removed as requested by Bernice King, Sexyy Red has not commented on the challenge. Instead, she continued to post on X and other social platforms as usual and even responded to a special request from Bruno Mars!
