What started, because the small problem of the knee turned into an unexpected revelation of Deepak Shenoy, the General Director of Bengaluru. Again, bypassing his regular walk, the founder of Capital chose to quickly swim in the state-run bus and was amazed that the fare was only 6 years old.

In X (formerly Twitter), now, “Sheno” wrote:

He later clarified that he regularly uses public transport, including air-conditioned buses and metropon. However, this short 1-kilometer trip was a necessity, not a habit. “I accept public transport all the time.

Sheno’s brief post led to chord social media, drawing attention to a larger conversation about accessibility and infrastructure in the Public Transport System of India.

Several users applauded the cost and availability of public service. “Good things don’t always cost much,” commented one user. Thinking of the same emotion, another user said. “Sir, you get a decent food for 6 rupees in Amma canteen.”

Others highlighted the potential of the system. “Public transport, if it is well running, can transform the way of Indians. Security, reliability and accessibility are the three main parties of any successful system of public transport.

Another user mocks. “We still get walked faster in Bengaluru.”

The second user said:

Before Sheno’s surprise was rooted in value, the response answers that were excited about deep problems. How is urban infrastructure funded for who is the best than more urban passengers?
