That’s according to a new report from Spain, which says so Barcelona are preparing an audacious swap deal to try and sign Rashford in January
The report claims that Barcelona are ready to offer their own striker Ansu Fati in exchange for the 27-year-old, and even adds that the club “has started working on negotiations”.
Like Rashford, Fati is out of favor at his club and takes home a hefty salary (£221,000 per week in his case). Still only 22, injury and form have seen him start just one La Liga game this season.
However, he is undoubtedly talented, inheriting Lionel Messi’s shirt at Camp Nou and praised by former manager Xavi, who he dubbed him an “extraordinary” talent. after working with him.
Despite this, an agreement seems far-fetched, especially with Barcelona already struggling with their salary cap to the point that they cannot register summer signing Dani Olmo for the second half of the season as things stand.
