Roommates, Barbie took a big step and released Alia doll in honor of the 46th anniversary of the deceased singer.

According to Detroit Free PressBarbie released a doll under the Music Series brand. According to Mattel Creations websitethe product description states this “Aaliyah’s smooth vocals and groundbreaking sound helped shape ’90s R&B, and her influence on music and fashion is still felt today. Our tribute to the life and sound of ‘Babygirl’ will elevate any collection to the top of the charts.”
Additionally, the doll cost $55 and was modeled after the faux leather outfit Aaliyah wore for her One in a Million music video.
According to Detroit Free Pressthe doll was exclusively available for purchase by members of Barbie Club 59. In addition, sales were to begin on Wednesday, January 15th and end at 11:59 PM on January 16th. However, the doll has already been sold.

How Shadow room it was previously reported that Alia recently made headlines with her ex-boyfriend Dem Dash opening up about his relationship with R. Kelly. In October, Dash mentioned his time working with Jay-Z and their appearance in Kelly’s music video for “Fiesta.”
“…when Jay continued to do business with R. Kelly, I went back and told Aaliyah, like, “Oh, they’re still doing projects, they’ve got singles, they’re making videos. I don’t want to go to the video. I don’t want to be or have any part of that,’” Dash recalls.
Despite his discomfort and accusations against Kelly and Aaliyah, Dash explained how Aaliyah’s response made him want to show up at the Fiesta.
