Australia stocks higher at close of trade; S&P/ASX 200 up 0.45% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Australia stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as earnings , and shares higher in the sector.

It was up 0.45% at the close in Sydney.

The best performers of the session were Omni Bridgeway Ltd (ASX: ), which rose 4.38% or 0.06 points to trade at 1.43 at the close. Nanosonics Ltd (ASX:) added 6.33% or 0.21 points to end at 3.53 while Tabcorp Holdings Ltd (ASX:) was up 6.25% or 0 .04 points to 0.68 points.

The worst performers of the session were Resolute Mining Ltd (ASX:), which declined 3.70% or 0.02 points to close at 0.39 points.Perenti Global Ltd (ASX:) declined 2.52% or by 0.04 points and ending with 1.36 and Credit Corp Group Ltd (ASX: ) was down 2.45% or 0.43 points to 17.12.

On the Sydney Stock Exchange, advancers outnumbered decliners by 545 to 535, while 480 were flat.

It, which measures the implied volatility of S&P/ASX 200 options, fell 1.16% to 10.80.

February gold futures were down 0.03%, or 0.71, at $2,747.99 a troy ounce.Elsewhere in commodities trading, crude oil for March delivery was down 0.03%, or 0.02. to $77.37 a barrel, while March Brent crude futures fell Up 0.15% or 0.12 to $80.67 a barrel.

AUD/USD was flat 0.23% at 0.62, while AUD/JPY rose 0.06% to 96.93.

US dollar index futures were down 0.23% at 108.96.
