Coming into the match between India and Australia, the team led by Pat Cummins is in the driver’s seat. So far, the rain-affected match has been all about them as they have dominated with both bat and ball and look like favorites to win the match.

After asking them to bat first, they put up an amazing effort. They posted a massive total of 445 runs, with Travis Head (152) and Steve Smith (101) making centuries. In the end, Alex Carey’s half-century propelled them to a total of around 450 runs.

With the ball, then, they have been first class. The hosts quickly removed four Indian wickets in Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant. At stumps on Day 3, India were 51/4 with KL Rahul (30*) and Rohit Sharma at the crease. The visitors would be hoping that the duo will stitch a great partnership and rescue the team from trouble.
