Butler and Gerber first sparked romance rumors in December 2021 after they were spotted taking a yoga class together. At the time, a source exclusively revealed Us Weekly what the pair were dating, adding: “It’s still brand new.”

In five months, steam reached an important milestone when they made their red carpet debut on Met Gala 2022. At the time, Gerber celebrated the Gilded Age theme by wearing a metallic Alexander McQueen dress Butler chose an all-black Prada suit for a big event.

A second source exclusively reported the following year us that Butler and Gerber were very “secure” in their relationships — and that her famous parents, Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawfordapproved the pairing.

In January 2025, it became known that the couple parted ways during the holidays.
