Aston Villa are opening official talks with the 21-year-old goalkeeper

Ahead of the January transfer window, Aston Villa are positioning themselves over certain players, one of which is 21-year-old ace Filip Marschall.
Unai Emery he has been a revelation since joining the club and the Aston Villa manager could allow a striker to movealthough the club seems to recognize his talent.
It is a show of respect from the club that they are willing to accept Emery’s advice and requests, and the Spaniard has already shown what can be achieved with the support of the board.

Filip Marschall in line for new Aston Villa contract
Highly-rated young goalkeeper Filip Marschall, currently on loan at Crewe Alexandra, is in line for a new deal at Aston Villa seconds Football Insider.
The outlet notes that while Marschall is not out of contract until 2027, it was in 2022 that he signed his last extension at the club.
Emery obviously wants to protect Villa’s investment given the goalkeeper has been at the club since 2018 (transfer market), and offering the carrot of a new deal should be enough to tempt the player to keep his record at Villa Park, even if it is still some time before he can make his mark there.

Aston Villa looking to the future
With so many games played by the most successful teams these days, clubs need at least two players in each position to be available.
For the specialist goalkeeping area, it is arguable that at least three should be available at all times.
Villa are clearly looking to the future with their offer of a deal for Marschall, and if they continue on their current trajectory, there’s a good chance we’ll see the keeper playing in the Premier League at the time
