Ashanti & Nelly shock crowd at annual ball with ‘Baby’ remix

Ashanti and Nelly their happy glow shone brightly at the annual Black and White Ball on Sunday! For about a week first wedding anniversary December 27. And let’s be clear, their love still looks as fresh as it did the day Nelly crossed the Verzuz live stage to hug her three years ago! At the end of the evening, the couple surprised the guests of the ball with a remix of her song “Baby”.

The couple and their guests traveled to Nellie’s hometown of St. Louis for the charity event. This year there will be profit from the luxury party reportedly benefit scholarships from the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Harris-Stowe State University.

Just last month, Ashanti and Nelly went viral their joint performance in celebration of his 50th birthday. At the weekend, the couple went on the best vacation. The new mother looked stunning in a sparkling full-length dress with long sleeves and a high neck. Meanwhile, Nelly’s dad came out wearing an all black tuxedo and thin rimmed glasses.

At one point, Ashanti started singing her signature song “Baby” into the microphone, but changed the lyrics to say: “We made baby, baby, baby, baby.” And Nelly joined in with backing vocals and promo files. They sang the lyrics, even with their heads pressed against each other. They danced, laughed and looked happily in love!

The moment caused scores and comments on social networks! On The Shade Room’s IG page, the video received nearly 10,000 comments in less than 24 hours.

As usual, the rapper’s hometown event was attended by some iconic hip-hop artists, from Bow Wow to Jermaine Dupree to Ne-Yo. They all took to the stage, but there were also celebrities in the audience, from hit writer Brian Michael-Cox to Metro Boomin. The manufacturer is also a native of STL.
