Ariana Maddix Thinks VPR Season 12 Cast Should ‘Mind Their Own Things’

Ariana Maddix shared some sage advice for new cast members Vanderpump Rules about separating themselves from those who came before them.

During an exclusive interview with Us Weekly at the 2024 Out100 event, Maddix, 39, responded to Lisa VanderpumpLatest comments on how the newcomers in season 12 not trying to compete with the original cast.

“It’s great. I totally understand (why) and I also think it’s nice for the new cast members to hear that,” Maddix explained. “Because I think it will encourage them to forge their own path and do their own thing.”

Maddix hopes the next generation of SURvers to stand out by being himself, adding, “I think that’s what’s going to make this show successful, and that’s what’s going to make the audience really connect with them.”

Vanderpump hinted earlier this month what fans can expect from season 12 repair.

“I think everything we do will have a different energy,” she teased And! News. “Not going to try to compete with the old Vanderpump Rules. It will just be completely different there. However, we will return to the premise of the complexities of managing a restaurant and staffing it. And there is always something to tell about it.”

Vanderpump called working with the former cast a “wonderful experience,” but admitted it had to come to an end. “It’s time to do something else. The stories were closed a little,” she admitted. “I don’t think people were that shocked that we decided to do it now.”

The Vanderpump Rules the franchise began as a spinoff The Real Housewives of Beverly Hillsin which Vanderpump starred from 2010 to 2019. Vanderpump Rules has become its own cultural phenomenon as the restaurateur expands her TV universe with Vanderpump Villa, Vanderpump Dogs and Overserved With Lisa Vanderpump.

Season 11, which aired this year, left Bravo viewers torn about the future of the franchise. The network eventually confirmed it in November Vanderpump Rules returns with an all-new cast.

How I love you all. In the restaurant business, one shift always gives way to another. Welcome to the next generation of Vanderpump Rules.”

Maddix, meanwhile, shared emotional post about her time on the show.

“Vanderpump Rules, you will forever be that girl 💖 I’ve been up until 4am searching for all the right pictures and the right words, but there’s not one post or caption that can cover it all. I am forever grateful to have been a part of such an incredible cultural phenomenon,” she wrote alongside various photos from her 11 seasons on the show. “I feel at peace closing this chapter and I’m excited for what’s to come.”

Adjusting to some major professional changes, Maddix appeared at the Out100 2024 event to celebrate LGBTQIA+ influencers shaping culture, politics and society.

There are so many people here who have made such an impact and such a difference, not just in the past year, but always.”

Vanderpump Rules now airing on Peacock. Out100 special is broadcast AdvocateChannel.com on Saturday, December 21. The special will also air on OutTV Proud on December 24th at 9:30pm ET and Fuse/Fuse+ on December 26th at 12:00pm ET.
