Apple Vision Pro users can check a short, immersive Metallica concert movie this week
Apple and Metallica have partnered to bring free, immersive experience from one of the band’s concerts to Apple Vision ProS As of March 14, the headset owners will be able to watch live performances on “Whiplash”, “One” and, of course, “Enter Sandman”, shot at a M72 World Tour stop on Metallica last year. EP recorded in the show entitled M72 World Tour: Mexico CityIt will hit Apple Music this Friday and will be available with spatial audio.
To capture the set in 180-degree video and space audio, Apple designs a custom scene on the stage with 14 submersible camcorders on Apple. Some cameras were hung on cables and on remote control systems.
The immersion kit will probably be a fun experience for those in the Metallica Delighters Venn Diagram scheme and those who have scattered $ 3,500 on the Apple Vision Pro (you will be able to check it by booking a free demonstration in the Apple Store). But will it be as cool as the lightning time struck the sky while Metallica played “Master of Puppets” at an outdoor show last year? Probably not.
