Apple declared On Monday, it led to audio and ultra-low latency audio in the AirPods Max headset using the USB-C cable included.

With this upcoming update, AirPods Max headset will unlock a 24-bit, 48 kHz audio without losses to maintain the quality of the original records. Audio without losses also extends to a personalized spatial audio “to ensure a more accurate, uncompressed and immersive experience,” the company says.

Users will be able to listen to more than 100 million songs in an audio without a losses with Apple Music.

As for ultra-low latency audio, Apple says AirPods Max will be more suitable for music production. Using a USB-C cable, AirPods Max users will allow the musicians to create and mix with custom spatial audio and head tracking. This means that performers can record and mix music without losing audio quality, Apple notes.

Gamers will also take advantage of ultra low latent audio as they will experience a lower time to slow down with AirPods Max.

Audio for audio and ultra low latency will be available in April as a free firmware update with iOS 18.4, iPados 18.4 and MacOS Sequoia 15.4 for AirPods Max with USB-C.

The new features will be available exclusively to AirPods Max with USB-C, not the lightning version of the headphones.
