Amazfit Bip 6 Hands-on: At $ 80, this clock can be theft

Amazfit BIP 6 has just started and is the most native iteration in the BIP Smartwatch series. Like its predecessors, the new watch aims to deliver stable health and fitness tracking features without breaking the bank. And after 24 hours of BIP 6 testing, I leave to think this $ 80 smart watch is theft.

Chinese company Amazfit, known for its affordable wearable devices compatible with iOS and Android, stands alone when it comes to Watch software. The BIP 6 does not work Wear OS, but instead has its own operating system called Zeppp OS, which for my short use was rough around the edges.

At a time when more people use smart watches and fitness tracking people to maintain sections for their health, Amazfit Bip 6 stands out on paper for their low cost, universal compatibility with phone and its one -time measurement to record heart rate, stress, SPO2 and breathing in one move.

Otherwise BIP 6 must deliver all categories that matter when Looking for a smart watch; It measures Vitals, follows any exercise that can be presented, custom coaching and promises to continue more than a week of charging. Plus, it’s one of the few Smartwatch models that works on any phone without sacrificing features. If you come from a higher-end model, such as Apple Watch or Samsung Galaxy WatchYou will notice some discrepancies in design and navigation that do not look so smooth or responsive, but if it is your first smart watch, it will be more than answering the account.

Amazfit BIP 6 Design

Amazfit BIP 6 has a 1.97-inch AMOLED screen (390×450) pixels that looks bright and crispy indoors and out. The rectangular screen with rounded edges is reminiscent of the Apple Watch, the minus the curved edge of infinity. The display is approximately the size of the larger 44- or 45mm Apple Watch. The aluminum frame looks elegant and while the watch itself feels light, the screen looks bulky on my wrist of medium size and is not available in another size. My review of the review has the black sports group, but it is also available in charcoal, stone and red – colors that I would prefer more.

Amazfit BIP 6 Battery Life

According to Amazfit, BIP 6 can last up to two weeks with a single charge, which, if true, can be record. And while the 340-ha battery sounds promising, I only wore it 24 hours, so the weather will show it. Amazfit’s battery life claim has an activated lifting feature as this clock does not always allow the display. The screen will not even remain during exercise unless the settings manually change the settings – something Amazfit warns can significantly reduce battery life.

Charging speed may be where it loses some points, as previous models have been criticized for being slow to load. BIP 5, for example, took about 2 hours to go from 0% to 100%. I will report again after we drain it completely.

It is also worth noting that the watch is only available with a charging washer (there is no USB-C cable or a charging brick in the box), which becomes normal with most Smartwatch models anyway.

Amazfit BIP 6 Health and Wellness Tracking

BIP’s first iterations were suffocated that they were not accurate in their health and fitness indicators. Although I have not put BIP 6 through our usual tests, Amazfit says that there are better sensors under the lid, which will improve accuracy when it comes to measurements such as heart rate and oxygen levels in the blood. The company also says you can access more details about sleep quality and extended health insights in the ZepP app. However, even with sensor improvements, none of these features has received FDA approval and should only be used as a base line rather than a diagnostic tool.

The watch also has a feature called One Tap Measure, which records four vital (heart rate, stress levels, SPO2 and breathing rate) in one place. This may seem comfortable, but my complaint is that it does not provide a context except the actual reporting at the end. Essentially let yourself wonder if they are normal or concerned

While BIP 6 does not measure skin temperature as some of its higher-end rivals, it involves monitoring the menstrual cycle.

Amazfit BIP 6 Fitness and Forties Fourtes

It has the opening of car workout for seven activities, including walking, running, cycling, elliptical and rowing. You can customize which indicators appear on the screen and set up target pace or heart rate signals, but navigating the workout settings can be annoying as each activity has its own capabilities. This includes activating “Always Included Display During Workouts”, which I activated to keep my statistics visible-battery life to be damn.

BIP 6 also has an intelligent training function that automatically tracks repetitions, rest times and muscle engagement. There is also an offline navigation option that allows outdoor enthusiasts to download the clock routes without worrying about losing a GPS signal. With 5 BIP 6 water resistance atmosphere, it is also suitable for swimming and other water -based activities.

Amazfit BIP 6 Smartwatch features

BIP 6 has standard Smartwatch features such as call and text notifications, ping on my phone and flashlight, but there is no mobile payment option. The remote camera feature is available through the Zeppp app but only works with iPhoneS The watch has a voice assistant called ZepP Flow, which allows you to control the clock without your hands, but it even makes Siri look like a speed demon, as there is a noticeable lag in response time.

The screen itself is quite responsive, but the interface is clumsy and not intuitive. Menus navigation can be felt like a wandering through a maze thanks to the dubious choice of design. In my opinion, the most annoying is the Billboard style animation used to disclose a text that did not fit on the screen. Pressing to reveal the rest of the word will only make you choose the option so that you leave to wait for the rest of the word to crawl on your way to the screen.

The strange choice of the BIP 6 interface design rejects words that then crawl back on the animation screen.

Amazfit BIP 6 software and Zeppp app

The watch works on Amazfit Zeppp’s own OS and syncs all its health and fitness data through the ZepP app. You can choose from additional free or paid watch persons and download applications through the Zep App Store, although the choice is scarce. According to Amazfit, the app will provide detailed health information and personalized coaching without having to pay for some premium subscription. This includes weekly trend reports that aim to help customers track progress to fitness or weight loss goals.

Another bonus feature is the AI feeding food magazine that automatically completes calories and nutritional information from a photo or barcode of your food.

Amazfit BIP 6 starts a lot …

There is still something to explore with Amazfit Bip 6, but on the basis of the first impressions I would say that a second meeting was won. This is an affordable alternative to the more valuable smart watches, and if you can look past a few UI hiccups and some rough edges, this can just be the perfect match.
