Challenge graduates Kaycee Clark and Nani Gonzalez have called it quits more than a year after announcing their engagement.

“After much consideration, Casey and I have decided to go our separate ways,” the couple wrote in a joint statement they shared Stories on Instagram on Wednesday, January 25.

“This was definitely not an easy decision, but it’s what’s best for both of us,” they wrote.

It continued: “Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way – we are both moving forward with love and kindness in our hearts and we ask that you respect our need for privacy at this time.”

It’s not uncommon for stars to fall head over heels in love while filming a reality show – and the Challenge contestants are no exception. Clarke, 37, and Gonzalez, 36, met while filming Season 35 of 35 The Challenge: Complete Insanity In 2019, the couple was not romantically linked until two years later when they started posting pictures of each other on Instagram.

During the an Interview with US Weekly In August 2022, Clark and Gonzalez revealed that they were “very excited” about their future and said they had discussed the possibility of marriage and children.

“We’ve talked about it a lot. The next step will obviously be marriage,” Gonzalez told us at the time.

“And then, of course, after that would be children, and that would obviously, you know, come with IVF and all that. So that’s definitely something that we’ll eventually look at, and we’re very excited only our future,” she added.

In the clip, which appears to have been deleted, the pair could be seen walking, dancing and hugging on a beach in Thailand’s Phi Phi Islands. The video ended with Gonzalez getting down on one knee next to a sign lit up in the fire that read, “Will you marry me.”
